My Niece's Birthday

One of my nieces recently turned one and we had a great party to celebrate.  Here are some pictures from her big day!

Mother-Daughter Brunch

Last weekend we celebrated Mother's Day, and every year my mom's church does a Mother-Daughter banquet.  However, this year they did a brunch, which was a nice change of pace.  I look forward to this every year though because it brings all the women in my family together which is a lot of fun - and this year, my sister in law from upstate New York even came down to visit.  Here are some pictures of the event -- P.S. the crazy looking lady on stage is my mom acting out some skit that had never been practiced -- but it was pretty hilarious.

Rugged Maniac!!!

I told you all that my plan was to become more active this year.  Well, last weekend I completed the Rugged Maniac 5k.  Let me tell you, it was active for sure!  It was a 5k race with about 20 different obstacles along the way.  The obstacles included activities such as climbing over walls, crawling through underground tunnels, crawling through mud uphill under barb wire, climbing across a rope net, and so much more.  Check out these photos.
